Thora Birch

Thora Birch was born March 11th in 1982. She is an American actress, producer and director. In 1988, she made her film debut in the film Purple People Eater. For the role, she received a Young Artist Award as "Best Young Actress under Nine Years of Age". Birch became a household name as young actress and was featured in films like All I Want for Christmas (1991), Patriot Games (92), Hocus Pocus (93), Monkey Trouble (1994), Now and Then (1995) and Alaska (1996). In 1999 she was nominated to receive an BAFTA nomination. In the following year, she played in Ghost World (2001) as Enid. She was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress. In 2003, Birch received an Emmy Award nomination for her performance in the title role in Homeless to Harvard The Liz Murray Story. Birch has also appeared in Dungeons & Dragons (2000) and The Hole (2001), Silver City (2004) and Dark Corners (2006). She was nominated for an Emmy Award in 2003. Birch played the role of Whisperer Mary/Gamma during the season 10 episode of The Walking Dead (2019-202). Birch was born in Los Angeles, the eldest child of Jack Birch and Carol Connors. Birch who's family was named Biersch, is German-Jewish and Scandinavian. She also is French-Canadian French-Canadian and Italian ancestral roots. [6] Her name, "Thora," is derived form the name of Thora, the Norse god thunder and lightning ("Thor") and would be her name had she were a boy. Kian Bolt Birch who is her younger brother, is her mother. Both of them were adult film actors, and were both in Deep Throat. Due to their experience in the entertainment industry, they were hesitant to help her, but were persuaded by Thora's picture to agents by a babysitter who noticed her imitation of commercials. Birch had her first big break at four, when the babysitter accompanied her to an audition for the Quaker Oats commercial.
