Dawson (born May 9, 1979)[3] is an American producer and actress. She made her
feature-film debut in the 1995 film, an independent drama Kids. She has since
starred in films like He Got Game (1998) and Josie and the Pussycats (1901),
Men in Black II (2006), Death Proof (2008), Seven Pounds (2008) and Percy
Jackson and the Olympians (2010). Dawson also voices for Warner Bros./DC Comics
as well as ViacomCBS Nickelodeon's Nickelodeon unit. For her performance in
Rent, Dawson was awarded the Satellite Award in Best Supporting Actress Motion
Picture. And for Top Five, Dawson was nominated for the Critics' Choice Movie
Award in Best actress in Comedy. Dawson was born on May 9 1979 in New York
City. Isabel Celeste is her mother and is of Afro-Cuban descent. Isabel was
just 16 at the time that Rosario was born. Isabel didn't marry Rosario's
biological father, Patrick C. Harris. Rosario's mother, Greg Dawson, was a
construction worker when she was only one year old. Dawson is four years
younger than Clay. Clay is Dawson’s half-brother. Dawson is also well-known for
her role in comic adaptations of novels. This includes Gail in Sin City (2005),
Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014), Claire Temple (2015-2018) and Diana
Prince/Wonder woman on the DC Animated Movie Universe. She also voiced Barbara
Gordon/Batgirl as The Lego Batman Movie. She voiced Ahsoka Tano's character in
The Mandalorian's upcoming second series, which will air in 2020. Also, she
will be the star of the Disney+ original series Ahsoka. In 2021, she'll reprise
her role on Young Rock, a Dwayne Johnson comedy , autobiographical comedic
comedy.
