Tracy Spiridakos

Tracy Spiridakos is a Canadian actor from Canada. She was a part of Becky Richards on the Teletoon children's comedy show Majority Rules! from 2009-2010. She was a star from 2009 until 2010. Annika Johnson played her character on the A&E television drama Bates Motel. Since 2017 Spiridakos has been a part of the NBC police drama Chicago P.D. Spiridakos plays the role of Detective Hailey Upton. Spiridakos was the daughter of restaurant owners George Spiridakos and George Spiridakos who were both born in Winnipeg, Manitoba. She has two siblings. When she was born her family moved to Skala, Greece, south of Sparta. They returned to Canada in 1992. Spiridakos is very proud of her Greek roots and is fluent Greek. Spiridakos started acting in her junior high school. Then she attended the Actors Training Centre of Manitoba. In 2000, she graduated Oak Park High School in Winnipeg. Spiridakos left Winnipeg in 2007. She was able to land her first television role on Supernatural within a few weeks. She appeared on television for a few more years with roles on Psych, The L Word, Hellcats and Bionic Woman. Spiridakos appeared in the TV movie Goblin and the web-based series Mortal Kombat: Legacy. Spiridakos also appeared on Being Human as the werewolf Brynn McCLean. In 2009 she was cast as her first lead role in the role of Becky Richards, a 15-year-old girl, on Canadian Teletoon's Majority Rules! Her feature film debut was in 2011 in Rise of the Planet of the Apes. In Kill for Me, she starred alongside Katie Cassidy and Donal Logue. Spiridakos played Sammi in Rags the movie, an Nickelodeon original film. Then she was offered a leading part in the NBC television show Revolution as Charlotte "Charlie" Matheson, a survivalist in a dystopian future civilization. She auditioned while she was watching her pilot in Los Angeles. Spiridakos shot her pilot in Atlanta. The first season was filmed in Wilmington, North Carolina. Because of her performance in the pilot, she was nominated to win the Saturn Award for Best Actress on TV. She fell short to the actress from Fringe, Anna Torv. In the second season, production moved to Austin Texas.
