Renee Kathleen Zellweger

Renee Kathleen Zellweger was born on April 25 1969, in Katy, Texas, Her mother Kjellfrid Irene (Andreassen) is a nurse born in Norway, former and midwife, with Norwegian, Kven (Finnish) and Swedish descent. Emil Erich Zellweger, her father, is a Swiss engineer. They were married in 1963. Renee has a brother called Drew Zellweger, a marketing executive who was born on the 15th of February in 1967. Renee was a member of the drama group at high school when she became interested in acting. She took an acting class at University of Texas (Austin) and began to consider acting as a career. After graduation, she wished to continue acting, but Hollywood is a challenging city to get into, so Renee chose to remain in Texas and attempted to audition for roles around Houston and managed to grab roles in such films such as Reality Bites (1994) and Empire Records (1995). On the set of the sequel to that film, Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Next Generation (1994), she befriended Matthew McConaughey, another Hollywood rising star. Renee observed him on a project which interested her. She auditioned and was awarded the role in Love and A.45 (1994). It was a success that earned her the critical praise to decide to move to Los Angeles. Her breakthrough came in another role in The Whole Wide World (1996). Cameron Crowe was busy casting Jerry Maguire (1996) with Tom Cruise. Crowe was looking at actresses such like Cameron Diaz, Bridget Fonda, Winona Ryder, and Marisa Tomei. He was enthralled when he saw Zellweger's performance in The Whole Wide World (1996). He had a chance to audition Zellweger and was certain he had discovered his Dorothy Boyd. Renee then followed her enormous success by releasing a couple of independent films and after receiving more praise from critics and confidence, she decided to reenter the world of big-budget Hollywood films. Meryl Streep was a co-star in One True Thing (1998). Also, she acted in Me, Myself & Irene (2000) with Jim Carrey, and soon after she began dating Carrey. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001).
