Robin Gayle
Robin Gayle Wright was born to Gayle
(Gaston) she was a national Director at Mary Kay and Freddie Wright. Her
birthplace was San Diego, California. When she was 14 years old, she started
her career as a model. She was a model in Paris as well as Japan. She made the
decision to become an actor after graduating from high school. She got a role
on the soap show Santa Barbara (1984), for which she was nominated three times
for an Daytime Emmy. She fell in love with Dane Witherspoon during the first
season. They got married in 1986. Then, she appeared on The Princess Bride
(1987) playing the title character. After leaving the cast in Santa Barbara,
she got the role of the lead in Denial (1990) along with Jason Patric. She was
also in State of Grace (1990) in the year she met Sean Penn. They had a
daughter Dylan Frances and a son Hopper Jack. After a short break, Robin was
back to Hollywood with one the best role of her career: She was Tara in The
Playboys (1992). She was stunning and brilliant. She then appeared in Toys
(1992) with Robin Williams, and she did a great job in her performance. Wright
was also in 1994's blockbuster hit Forrest Gump (1994), acting alongside Tom
Hanks. Wright was nominated to win a Golden Globe Award for her role in the
film as Jenny. She had a small role in The Crossing Guard (1995) that starred
Jack Nicholson. After being rejected for 14 roles, she was offered the title
part in MGM/UA's Moll Flanders (1996). It was directed by Pen Densham and
featured Morgan Freeman, Stockard Channing, and Morgan Freeman. She then
starred alongside William Hurt in Erin Dignam’s Loved (1997).
