Milena Govich

Milena Govich is an actor, director, and musician. She has directed a number of episodes of TV such as Chicago Med (2015) (211) and The Equalizer (221). Additionally, she was co-producer and Co-EP on Dick Wolf's CBS series FBI (2018). She is currently a part of two pilots currently in production. Milena was among eight women selected for AFI’s famous Directing Workshop for Women. She was also a participant in the Sony Pictures Television Diverse Directors program. Unspeakable was her TV series as well as a short film. Starring Jeff Kober and Laura Vandervoort, it won the best episodic award at the Seattle International Film Festival as in addition to Best Pilot at SoHo International Film Festival. The film, Temporary, she produced (2017) was shown throughout the country. She was awarded the Best Narrative Short at Anthem Film Festival. Best Dark Comedy Award at Atlanta ShortsFest. and the Director's Choice Award from Sedona International Film Festival. As an actor Milena has been featured in close to 100 episodes of television. She first gained national attention in CBS's Love Monkey (2006), then as the prostitute/con-artist Candy on three seasons of Rescue Me (2004) (Denis Leary/FX). Conviction (2006) was her debut on CBS. She then became the only female detective in Law & Order (1990). The actress has appeared on or reprised on a variety of other shows, including K-Ville (2007) (Fox); The Defenders (2010) (CBS); Make It or Break It (2009) (ABC Family) and on the show Finding Carter as Lori Stevens on the MTV drama Finding Carter (2014). Milena has also appeared in numerous films, including Sordid Things (2009); A Novel Romance (2011) with Steve Guttenberg as the lead. Steve Guttenberg; Pass the Light (2015) The #Lucky Number (2015), starring with Method Man; and the films Closure (2018), Be the Light (2020), and The Cleaner (2021). Milena is a native of Norman, Oklahoma was the valedictorian of her high-school before she completed two major vocal performances and premed at the University of Central Oklahoma. She was also valedictorian of her high school. Soon after, she capitalized on her ballet education to appear on Broadway in the production by Rob Marshall and Sam Mendes of "Cabaret" in Studio 54.
