Sarah Chalke

Sarah Chalke was born in Ottawa, Ontario Canada on 27 August 1976. Angie Chalke is her mother and Doug Chalke are her father. She is the middle of two siblings: the older one, Natasha Chalke, one younger, Piper Chalke. Sarah's acting debut was in City Boy (1992), the TV-produced film. After her first film she auditioned in 1993 for the role of "Becky" from Roseanne (1988). The show was seeking someone to fill in for Alicia Goranson quit the show to attend college. Sarah graduated high school in 1995, while filming the 1994-1995 Roseanne (1988) season. Also, in 1994, Sarah co-starred in the film, Ernest Goes to School (1994) as did Jim Varney. In 1996, Sarah starred in two movies: Robin of Locksley (1996) and Stand Against Fear (1996) as an actress named Krista Wilson. In 1998, a year after Roseanne (1988) was over, Sarah was asked to perform in a show titled Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998). It was based on a TV movie with the same name which was called Nothing Too Good for a Cowboy (1998) that Sarah was also in. She took over the role of Becky in Roseanne (1988) from Alicia Goranson in 1993. She said she wanted to take a break from acting and enroll in college. 2001 (1993-1997) She was Sara Gilbert's older sister in Roseanne (1988) however, she is actually younger. Participated in 1999's CCMA awards ceremony and received the award for the best single. September 1999: Appeared around the age of eight in Vancouver's stage productions. She is fluent in French as well as German. She volunteers at hospices that provide care to terminally ill children. Chalke enjoys cooking with her pals (especially Thai or sushi) she also plays the guitar and climb, ski (she's an instructor), and kayaking. Her father is a lawyer. both her parents are mediators who also run an agency for child adoption. Her parents took her to China to coordinate the adoptions of multiple orphans.
